A B O U T U S
Cabot Lodge is a family owned business. Cam and Wendy McDonald, fifth generation sheep farmers, have owned Cathedral Peaks Station for over forty years. Their youngest daughter Breidi and her husband Brad wanted to expand the family legacy, creating Cabot Lodge, which sits atop the highest peak of the farm. The couple are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love for the land and the area.
Our History
Cathedral Peaks Station owners, Cam and Wendy McDonald’s love of horses sparked their relationship, while their love of family, farming and Fiordland has united them together for over 40 years and counting.
Our Location
Guests can arrive at Cabot Lodge by vehicle, two hours drive from both Queenstown and Invercargill airport, or by helicopter, a 30 minute flight from Queenstown. Te Anau airport, located 10 minutes from the property, is available for arrival by chartered flight.
