Both Lake Manapouri and Lake Te Anau have ample fishing locations with access to beautiful streams and rivers. The area offers anglers of all abilities boat trolling, stream mouth, and shore fishing opportunities.
Fishing in New Zealand doesn’t get more spectacular than the Waiau River however, which connects Lake Manapouri and Lake Te Anau. Cabot Lodge provides direct access to the Waiau River via a private jetty, where guests can enjoy complete serenity, with only the sounds of flowing water and winding reels.
