This two-day package is for the passionate anglers, as well as those who are keen to experience the thrill of trout fishing for the first time, in one of the world’s most beautiful fishing locations.
This package offers two-days of private guided trout fishing. There are few places more special to fish for oversized trout than Fiordland. With dozens of rivers and lakes to choose from, there are options for all skill levels for both fly and spin reel fishing. Cabot Lodge works with knowledgeable and friendly guides who know every secret spot to bring the best out of every fisherman and woman, with all equipment provided. Depending on skill level and interest, guests have a different option for each days’ adventure, and can choose to undertake both options, or select one option for both days.
Fishing focussed - Guests will be collected each day after breakfast and taken to far flung waterways across the Fiordland National Park and Southland region to experience the breathtaking scenery, as well as the thrill of the hunt, for the prized Fiordland trout. Guests will enjoy lunch out on the water, spending the day listening to nothing but the sound of flowing water underneath, and the call of birds’ overhead.
Fishing for adventure - the adventure is ramped up a notch, beginning with an exhilarating jet boat ride, before a morning of fishing. At midday, guests will take to the skies with a scenic helicopter flight, soaking up Fiordland National Park by air, before landing on top of Mount Luxmore for a picnic lunch. Guests will get the chance to explore Fiordland on foot, joining an experienced nature guide for an easy-going three-hour downhill walk on the famous Kepler track. This is a fantastic way to see Fiordland from the air, water and land.
This package includes two nights’ accommodation in either of our Deluxe Suites with breakfast, evening drink and canapes, as well as daily on-farm activities also provided.
The Fishing Fiordland package starts from $3,530 NZD for two persons.
