Highlights:
This package provides a peaceful escape to recharge in complete serenity, with an overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound, a day hike on one of New Zealand's Great Walks, the Kepler Track, and the opportunity to experience an iconic New Zealand sheep and deer station, while enjoying all of the luxuries of a five-star Lodge.
Day One - Arrive at Cabot Lodge and enjoy a complimentary cocktail, before exploring the Lodge and its 2000 acre estate. Guests can hike to the highest peak of the property, or down to a secluded jetty overlooking the National Park. While out exploring, guests will meet the sheep, deer, cattle and horses that call this property home. In the evening relax over cocktail hour and canapes, followed by a set-menu evening meal, enjoying the spectacular mountain and lake views.
Day Two - Wake to a cooked breakfast, before enjoying one of New Zealand's Great Walks. Fiordland is known as the Walking Capital of the World, so what better way to enjoy this World Heritage Area than to set out on foot and experience the incredible scenery of the renowned Kepler Track. Take on a three hour section of the track, stopping at a secluded beach on the shores of Lake Manapouri for a picnic lunch provided by Cabot Lodge, and possibly a dip in the lake for those brave enough! Returning to the Lodge after day of exploring Fiordland's unique wilderness, enjoy canapes, drinks and a set-menu evening meal, showcasing the best of the region's farm to plate cuisine.
Day Three - Wake again to an extensive cooked breakfast, before taking the five-minute journey to the Doubtful Sound boat terminal for an unforgettable overnight cruise. Each spacious cabin offers views out into the Sound with a private ensuite. Chartering a maximum of 12 guests, this is an unmatched way to explore the areas most remote fiords. While on board all meals are prepared fresh from ocean to plate, with plenty of opportunities to catch fish and crayfish from the Sounds. Experience the silence of the expansive fiords from the front deck or get amongst the wilderness and kayak, fish and swim alongside the towering mountains, inky blue waters and surrounding wildlife. Your captain and crew will share stories of the area's rich history, so that all aboard leave relaxed, enriched and recharged.
Day Four - Waking in the complete serenity and silence of the Sounds, enjoy a cooked breakfast, before slowly cruising back to Lake Manapouri and returning to the boat terminal at midday, concluding the premier Fiordland escape.
