New Zealand is said to have started on a sheep’s back, with the export of wool to the world. The McDonald family has a similar history, comprising five generations of sheep farmers.

    Cathedral Peaks Station owners, Cam and Wendy McDonald’s love of horses sparked their relationship, while their love of family, farming and Fiordland has united them together for 40 years and counting.

    Guests can arrive at Cathedral Peaks Station by vehicle, two hours drive from Queenstown airport, or by helicopter, a 25 minute flight from Queenstown. Te Anau airport, located 10 minutes from the property, is available for arrival by chartered flight or private aircraft.
